Hannover Medical School Library
The library is the learning and information centre of Hannover Medical School (MHH). It provides members of the MHH with current specialist information from human medicine and dentistry, as well as from related disciplines, and conducts specific training in the use of databases such as PubMed and Web of Science.
In addition, the library offers services for members of the MHH on the topics of scientific publishing and open access. Interested parties can receive advice on author rights, finding reputable publishers, and publication discounts. They receive support through an open access publication fund and a publication server. Finally, the library staff also helps with publication cost accounting. In this way, the library offers itself as a companion in the publication process.
Since 2008, the library has recorded the publications of the MHH in a university bibliography, which serves as the basis for the distribution of performance-oriented funds (LOM) for the area of publications.
In addition to its role as a university library, the library also maintains a library for patients and university staff.
