Barrier-free in the HCC
In all renovation and maintenance work carried out in recent years, special emphasis was placed on single-colour, opaque and non-slip floor coverings, in addition to compliance with and implementing all legal regulations. In addition, our wall designs are high-contrast, handrails and bannisters start from the floor, the lighting design is largely glare-free, and breastfeeding and baby changing facilities are available beyond what is required.
Disabled parking spaces & entrances for the disabled
In the area of our multi-storey car park on Schillstraße, there are seven disabled parking spaces in the direct vicinity of the main entrance. Two further disabled parking spaces are located in the Kuppelsaal area, near the Park Restaurant. From the main entrance, you can reach the reception and all halls and conference rooms of the Hannover Congress Centrum as well as the Kuppelsaal at ground level. An intercom system is installed at the main entrance for further on-site information or assistance. You will find a detailed overview of disabled parking spaces, access and sanitary facilities in the overview plan.
The company exhibition will be opened on Tuesday, 23 May at 12:00 in the foyer of the Eilenriedehalle. We look forward to welcoming all delegates and exhibitors.
The opening event will take place on Tuesday, 23.05.2023, at 6:30 pm in the Kuppelsaal of the HCC.
Separate registration is not required; all exhibitors and participants are invited. The name badge is sufficient for admission.

After the opening event, there will be a get-together with drinks and canapés on the terrace from around 20:00 (in the foyer of the Kuppelsaal in case of bad weather).
You will find catering stands in the exhibition areas Glashalle and Eilenriedehalle. In addition, the restaurant at the Round Hall will be open.
On Wednesday and Thursday, there will also be a barbecue between the two halls at lunchtime.
The location will gladly accept your own coffee cups to reduce the use of disposable cups.

The company exhibition will be placed in the Eilenriedehalle and in the Glass Hall.
The company presentations will take place as usual on Wednesday and Thursday during the lunch break in the lecture rooms. Information on this can be found in the online session planner.
K.I.T. Group creates comprehensive visual material, which is used by the organizing associations and K.I.T. Group for communication and marketing purposes.
These recordings may be distributed and published through the event without entitlement to compensation for public reporting or event-based use on social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and websites).
Numerous volunteer helpers from the libraries in Hanover support the congress process and are happy to assist you.

The Cloakroom is located at the main entrance of the HCC. The price is 1,50 € per item.

Participation is only possible with an admission ticket, you can make the paid booking via the online registration form as soon as registration is open.
All speakers are requested to submit their presentation in the speaker centre in the Neuer Saal up to two hours before the presentation. The lectures will then be recorded in the lecture rooms so that each speaker only has to open the lecture on the computer in the lecture room. Own computers or USB sticks can not be installed in the session rooms.
The speaker centre opening times will follow closer to the congress.
The next 112.BiblioCon will take place from 04. – 07.06.2024 at the CCH in Hamburg.
Anyone travelling in the Hannover Region by bus, tram or local train uses a well-functioning and coordinated network of different transport companies, all of which are united in the Transport Association Greater Hannover (GVH).
The registration fee includes a combination ticket for the Hannover city area (GVH tariff zones ABC). For a full congress registration, the ticket is valid from 23 – 26 May 2023, for day tickets on the corresponding day. The name badge is the ticket.
The poster exhibition is located in the Glass Hall. On Wednesday and Thursday between 12:45 and 13:45 the poster presenters will be at their posters for questions and further explanations.

As librarians, we support free access to publications in many ways. The two associations, VDB and BIB, therefore, feel obliged to lead the way in the publications of the largest national continuing education event. All publications within the scope of the congress volume of the journal o-bib will appear in open access. The associations recommend that the presenters also provide all other contributions to BiblioCon, in particular the presentations on the BIB-OPUS server as well as the posters and clips, with the open Creative Commons licence CC BY (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/deed.de). To this end, a CC licence reference should be included on the presentation slides and posters or in the clips. This recommendation applies to all publications on the BIB-OPUS server, even beyond BiblioCon.
Registration will be at the main entrance of the HCC. Participants with a name badge can also use the entrance at the Eilenriedehalle. (Please be aware that a cloakroom is only located at the main entrance.)
In the Corridor, accessing the Runde Saal and the Restaurant, you will find lockers. Please be aware that the €1 that you need to lock them will not be returned!
The official conference language is German. There will be no translation into other languages.
